Security Information
Is it safe to enter my credit/debit card details online?
YES!
Reidys.com is spilt into two parts, the part where you search
for products you want to buy and then click BUY to purchase them is not secure.
This is for two reasons, a) there is no need for this part to be secure as no personal information is transmitied. b) It would make Reidys.com run slower.
When you get to the CHECKOUT you are taken to a SECURE SERVER. Reidys.com
has a site security certificate that is issued by Thawte and can be verified publicly by anyone.
The certificate means you can check with the issuer to see if we are who we say we are and confirms the site is secure.
The secure server allows us to take your credit/debit card and personal details safely and securely from your computer. The moment you enter information into your browser it is encrypted using 128-bit encryption and is only decrypted once it is inside our secure server where the information is safe. This system is possibly more secure than using a card in a shop in public were prying eyes can read your card number over your shoulder.
Privacy
We know everyone hates unsolicited emails etc. so we make every effort to keep your details secure.
Personal Information
The only personal information we collect is the information that you give us, by ordering or by sending request forms, or by email.
We'll only ever ask for the information that we need, and we'll only use it for the purpose we state.
All the details you enter are held on our secure systems, and except for the conditions below we don't give them to anyone else.
- When placing your order via our online checkout, we will use a payment service to process your payment. These services adhere to extremely strict security and privacy standards, and normally don't even allow us access to your payment details. Depending on your choice of payment, we currently use Sagepay, Paypal or V12 Finance.
-
We will sometimes ask for feedback on your shopping experience via Trustpilot - a separate review site.
The (very) limited data we send through them is only used to ask for your review, nothing else, and isn't passed onto anyone else.
While we'd love to hear your thoughts, it's totally voluntary, so please feel free to ignore any request for feedback if you wish.
Cookies
Cookies are small pieces of data stored on your computer by your browser. They are used by websites to store bits of information between pages. Only you and the website which created the cookie should be able to view them.
We will not use cookies to collect personally identifiable information about you. However, if you wish to restrict or block cookies, you can do this through your browser settings. The Help function within your browser should tell you how.
Please be aware that restricting cookies may stop some parts of the website from working, such as the shopping basket and online checkout.
- We use a cookie to keep track of what's in your shopping basket before you proceed to the secure checkout page.
- If you create an account and sign in we use cookies to allow you to see and use your wishlist and last viewed items, and to store these and your shopping basket for your later use.
- We use Google Analytics to gather anonymous information to see how people move around, how you view the site and what capabilities your browser has. This information helps us make our website better and easier to use. No personally identifiable information is gathered, and isn't given or sold to anyone else.
You can opt out of Google Analytics here - Our feedback tool, Kampyle, also uses a cookie to make sure you're only asked to submit feedback once.
To enhance our product information, we sometimes embed video or audio content from websites such as YouTube. This embedded content may present cookies from these websites. Similarly, when you use one of the social media share or like buttons, a cookie may be set by the service you have chosen to share content through. You should check the relevant third party website for more information about these, as we do not control the use of these cookies.
Refer to your browsers help files for more information on Cookies. Some browsers let you view all the cookies on your system, for others you can look in the browsers' temporary internet files (or 'cache') folder to see them.
If you have any queries or questions about the security and safety of your details on this site, or you believe something is unclear, we would be more than happy to help.
