The Yamaha CLP Clavinova range

Yamaha hold an enviable reputation around the world for consistently high quality, trouble-free durability and superior musical performance.

Starting with the CLP-220, the Clavinova CLP range has a digital piano for all tastes. Concentrating on absolutely real piano feel, all offer the stylish elegance of a grand piano with improved piano samples for incredibly realistic sound. The top of the range CLP-280 includes Yamaha's natural wood 2 keyboard with grade-weighted keys to provide a natural feel and the state of the art iAFC (instrumental Active Field Control) speaker system to create a richer sound that best matches the acoustic characteristics of the room you're playing in.

Yamaha upgraded the CLP range with several new and improved 200 series CLP models available now, adding Yamaha's renowned GH3 keyboard action, more great features, and better colour finishes:

Clavinova CLP-220 - at the start of the range, but still incorporating advanced GH hammer action keys, 64 note polyphony and a 1 track recorder
Clavinova CLP-230 - replacing the CLP120, this model has GH3 action and a 2 track recorder

The Yamaha CVP Clavinova range

As with all Clavinovas, Yamaha's CVP range are fine pianos in their own right with amazing sonic realism, featuring samples from the CFIIIs concert grand (also available here for those with deep, deep pockets), Graded hammer action keyboard, and the Yamaha iAFC system for perfect sound reproduction. Yamaha CVP Clavinovas are also packed with the latest technology: The large colour LCD screen makes operation easy, and offers a score display and a performance assistant to re-arrange songs on the fly.

The new CVP pianos include the latest in connectivity, with USB to host for easy PC connection, a SmartMedia card slot and USB to device (to attach external floppy drives and other storage systems), as well as Yamaha's Direct Internet Connection for song download directly from the internet to the piano.

Yamaha CVP clavinova pianos have range of finishes to fit any situation, including dark rosewood, light cherry, Mahogany (not available on the CVP301 or CVP309) and Polished Ebony for the top of the range CVP309, available in September.

Yamaha Keyboards

Yamaha pioneered the development of the portable personal keyboard, a product that gives many people their first taste of music making. The current keyboard range includes the PSR and DGX models right up to the highly acclaimed Tyros 61 key workstation keyboard. Most models include Yamaha's YES education suite.

Entry level PSR keyboards

Many schools use the affordable Yamaha PSR-175 and the brand new PSR-E203 keyboards, perfect for gifts or for those just starting on the keyboard. So easy to use, these keyboards are extremely popular.

Intermediate PSR keyboards

Perfect for the advancing student, or for those who require more features and better sound quality. Many music teachers recommend the PSR-E303, or the PSR-295 to their students. With more voices, a larger 61 note keyboards midi connections, and USB ports and a Digital music notebook, these are entry-level prices for pro-level performance.

New for 2006, the Yamaha PSR-E403 replaces the extremely popular PSR295. Adding to the already large list of features found on the PSR E303, the PSR-E403 offers both cutting edge sound technology and total flexibility to players of all levels. The unique sound controllers operate like filters found on professional synthesisers while the new arpeggiator adds the sample effect associated with todays modern styles.

The more advanced PSR-450 features 32 note polyphony, 135 built-in styles and 491 XGlite/GM voices--including authentic sax, trumpet and flute sounds from the "Sweet!" set, organ from the "Cool!" collection and orchestra voice from the "Live!" group. The 61-key keyboard contains Split and Layer configurations, plus a pitch bend wheel and two-way stereo speakers. An integrated 3.5-in. 2 HD floppy disk drive is Style File format and Standard MIDI File format compatible. The PSR450 also contains a music database with 500 song titles with automatic setup for each song, a 6-track sequencer for recording songs and performances, plus MIDI In/Out.

The DGX series home keyboards

Replacing the DGX 205, DGX 305 and DGX 505 keyboards are Yamaha's new DGX220, DGX520 and DGX620 keyboards designed to give a piano feel for a fraction of the price.
