The MB-100 open back 5-string banjo is the perfect traveling banjo and an ideal first instrument for players interested in bluegrass and stringband music. Open back banjos are appreciated for being lightweight (easy on the shoulder!) and for their unique, mellow tone. The MB-100 features a mahogany body with a classic Remo™ banjo head. The 26.25” traditional mahogany neck has a rosewood dot fingerboard for easy playing and a full and balanced tone. The MB-100 has a Natural (NA) color finish just like Epi’s vintage banjos! Vintage banjos suffer from the wear and tear of a century of playing and the hardware often shows the most wear. Epiphone’s nickel tuners are designed at Epiphone in Nashville, TN and provide solid tuning and reliability.
