What Reidys say...
Like the Deluxe models, the 620 boasts a bound body and neck, as well as Rickenbacker's famous
Ric-O-Sound. The binding on the iconic Cresting Wave designed body, and the flash fret markers all add to
the great look of the guitar, and the Ric-O-Sound allows you to plug into either two separate amps, or two
channels of the same amp meaning you can get a massive range of sounds and effects, just from one guitar. The
stereo output jack splits up the two pickups so that the signal from the treble pickup goes to one amp and the
bass to another, leaving you to blend the two how you like with the tone blend knob.
The solid maple body is a great a size and sits well against your body, plus it gives you more sustain than the semi-hollow models. The pickups give you everything from warm jazz tones to harsh brittle tones, as well as the famous jangly sound that these guitars are so well known for.
The 620 has been famously played by Tom Petty, and my personal favourite - Susanna Hoffs of The Bangles!
What should be said about Rickenbackers is that they play and sound like no other guitar; they're unique and they offer players something that no other brand can!

What Rickenbacker say...
The Model 620 features the famous Cresting Wave Maple cutaway body based on an innovative design from the 1950s. A Rosewood fingerboard is punctuated beautifully with triangular pearloid inlay markers, while the maple double bound neck and body are solid through and through. The 620 is electronically engineered to the exacting standards of the 300 series, complete with Rickenbacker's own high gain pickups and stereo output. Successfully retaining the balance from the original specifications, the 620 is another fine example of Rickenbacker quality workmanship.
