Grand Regal Series
The new Grand Regal Series from Cort is based on the popular Grand Auditorium body shape that sits right in between the dreadnaught and concert-size shapes for a full but balanced sound. The 45mm nut width also makes it ideal for fingerstyle playing. Offered in various models with solid Sitka spruce top with mahogany back and sides, solid European spruce top with Pau Ferro back and sides and solid red cedar top with blackwood back and sides, the Grand Regal Series offers variety of choices to suit virtually any musical style and taste.
The GA-MEDX expands the popular Grand Regal Series of grand auditorium body acoustics and acoustic-electrics to a more affordable price point with Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides, and the feature-packed CE306T preamp. For those who need a no-frills workhorse acoustic-electric, the GA-MEDX covers the gamut for working musicians who require value as well as quality.
AUDITORIUM CUTAWAY BODY
With dimensions of 117mm(4 5/8") body depth, upper bout width at 292mm(11 1/2") and lower bout width at 405mm(16"), the Grand Regal’s body size is perfectly in between the large Dreadnought and the more intimate Grand Concert. This makes the Grand Regal ideal for both strumming/flatpicking and fingerstyle playing and suits the versatile acoustic player who prefers to have one guitar to cover a variety of sounds and playing styles.
Spruce provides an ideal balance between strength and flexibility, hence its overwhelming popularity as the wood of choice for tops of acoustic guitars. Spruce’s versatile sonic character makes it ideal for a variety of musical genres and playing styles.
MAHOGANY BACK & SIDES
Bright yet natural with a strong and warm midrange, the beloved mahogany wood has been a standard for back and sides on premium acoustics for many decades.
The CE306T is a very versatile acoustic preamp with a large, and clear LCD display tuner that is very easy to read and offers a wide range of sounds from its responsive 4-band EQ tuned specifically for acoustic guitars that will be useful for a variety of musical applications.
The exclusive scooped surface bridge from Cort enhances sustain with greater string angle from the saddle to the body while reducing tension on the strings across the neck were less finger fatigue and improved playability.
