The 214ce-K Deluxe boasts Taylor's quintessential body shape - the grand auditorium. This is a very versatile body shape that can do it all. Whether you're fingerpicking, strumming, playing solo or accompanying a band, this does it all nicely. The larger lower bout gives you a bit more bass and projection, and the narrow waist and shoulders help note separation.
This Deluxe 200 model has a solid sitka spruce top and layered koa back and sides. The latter is fairly similar to rosewood in that it helps overtones ring out for a nice, full sound, but is perhaps a touch brighter (layered wood also deals well with changes in temperature). This being a Deluxe model, it also features small diamond fretboard inlays, white binding, and a full-gloss body. Not only does the gloss finish look amazing, but it also protects the wood. The 214ce-K Deluxe also includes a Taylor hard case, instead of a gigbag. The Venetian cutaway improves access to the upper frets so if you're playing lead work up there, it's more comfortable.
Like all Taylors, the 214ce-K Deluxe is set up really nicely to suit any playing style. This model also has the ES-2 pickup system which is one of the best acoustic guitar pickups on the market and, unlike most piezo-style pickups, helps really capture the acoustic tone of your guitar. Why not try one out in our Premier Taylor showroom?

What Taylor say....
Our distinctive 200 Series Deluxe category is loaded with high-end performance appeal. The Grand Auditorium 214ce DLX features layered Koa back and sides, a Sitka spruce top, a full-gloss body, white binding, Small Diamond fretboard inlay, Venetian cutaway, Taylor Expression System-2 electronics, and a Taylor standard hardshell case.
The most versatile and popular of Taylor's guitar shapes. Its well-defined midrange contributes to a clear and balanced tone. It's responsive enough for fingerstyle players and powerful enough for pickers and strummers to get a lively response. Think of it as a jack of all trades.
The most commonly used wood for guitar tops, Sitka generates a broad dynamic range and accommodates numerous playing styles, from aggressive strumming to fingerpicking.
Taylor's layered backs and sides incorporate three layers of wood, featuring a middle core of poplar with a veneer on each side. While layered woods won't produce quite as complex a sound as solid woods, they allow us to blend exotic looks with climate-resilient construction.
Expression System 2
Taylor's breakthrough acoustic pickup marks a major advance in piezo technology thanks to a patented behind-the-saddle design. The unique placement of three piezo sensors captures a more dynamic range of acoustic sound and responds well in a variety of settings.
Standard on 'ce' models in the 300 Series and up, the Venetian cutaway is known for its soft, round lines. The sloping peak of the cutaway will vary depending on the shape of the guitar. The Grand Concert, Grand Auditorium, and Grand Symphony have a steeper slope, while the Dreadnought is a bit flatter. Our Grand Concert nylon-string models also feature a subtle, flatter slope, while our 100 and 200 Series cutaway models incorporate our flattest slope.
