Made in Mexico Alder body Pau ferro fingerboard Modern 'C' neck profile Fender Player Series Alnico 5 Single-Coil Jazz Bass pickups
What Reidys say...
"Mexico: Spicy food, hot weather, wonderful tequila. Another thing Mexico is great for is building a very high quality line of Fender guitars at stunningly reasonable prices. This is the new Player Series. With updated pickups, hardware and finishes from the old Standard Line, the player refreshes the line that has been massively popular for years. Let's start with the finishes, there's a whole bunch of beautiful new colours that Fender are offering such as our favourite, Buttercream. Don't worry if you are a traditionalist though, the old favourites like Black and Sunburst are still there. Onto the pickups, the updated designs offer everything that has made Fender the go-to for everything from chimey, bright clean tones to percussive, tight overdrives. These guitars are built to offer versatility, easy playability and fantastic quality and they deliver on everything and more. Come in and try one today!
The Jazz bass was first released a few years after the P-Bass and offers a slightly and less-rounded brighter sound, with a stronger attack. You’ll see Fender Jazz basses in the hands of loads of players around the world - from disco bands, to metalheads. It’s reliable and versatile - you’ve got a volume knob for each pickup so you can use just the bridge pickup, just the neck, or a blend of both - you’re in control (the third knob is a master tone). The Player Jazz bass takes up where the legendary Mexican Standard left off and offers bassists an affordable but studio/road-worthy instrument that won’t let them down. The pickups are dynamic, clear and punchy, plus the build-quality is really impressive. Ideal for pros and novices alike."
