The Shape Makes The Sound

The Grand Theater (GT) is Taylors most compact body shape that serves up bold tone in a package that’s easy to transport and comfortable to play. The body length sit’s between a GS-mini and and the Grand Concert. Its feel may be nimble but the proprietary bracing produces a full voice with a surprisingly warm bass response.

2. GC

The Grand Concert (GC) Guitar body is the smallest full-scale body that creates a natural feeling of intimacy, but with v-class bracing its capable of an impressive dynamic range. There is a choice of 12 and 14- fret editions. The 12-fret edition produces more warmth and sweetness. While the 14-fret model have a modern, articulate voice. This model was created for acoustic fingerstyle players as the smaller footprint of the guitar keeps the overtones in check contributing to a more focused sound that’s well suited for recording and stage work.

The Grand Auditorium (GA) is the quintessential Taylor guitar shape , which allows the guitar to reach a lower register, present in midrange and sparkling on the treble strings. The shape produces an original acoustic voice that is big enough to handle medium strength picking and strumming. The GA’s overall presence tracks well in the studio with other instruments and is the guitar that can cover a variety of styles, and is Taylors best seller.

4. GP

The Grand Pacific (GP) is the rounder – shoulder dreadnought and is a versatile ‘workhorse’. This body boasts a whole different version of tone in Taylor Guitars. It holds a warm seasoned sound and clear low-end power, it’s Taylor like you have never heard before. Again the award winning v-class bracing is designed to blend overlapping notes to create a warm and inviting sound.

5. GS

The Grand Symphony (GS) yields an arena-filling power and broad dynamic range, that creates a rich piano-like bass with a strong midrange and thick trebles. With a Slightly larger footprint than the GA, the GS holds a more potent and dynamic all-round sound. The GS mini is 7/8 size of the original and can be seen as the guitar for every player, and of course its smaller size allows for it to be played in every situation.
