What Reidys say...
The Blackstar ID TVP range offers players some great valve-style tones in a reliable and affordable package. Blackstar's TVP (True Valve Power) technology replicates the sound and response of a whole range of valves a turns this into fantastic, authentic tone coming out of the amp's speaker. You get a sound that is dynamic, responsive to your playing and plenty powerful when you need it to be. The Blackstar ID TVP series gives you the choice of six different valve types to choose from, each with their own unique tonal characteristic that you can sculpt into your sound. Like with many other Blackstar amps, the ID TVP range features their famous Infinite Shape Feature (ISF) control. This gives you more control over your sound, allowing you to dial in everything from a classic British style voicing to more of a contemporary American sound. The amp has a huge range of sounds and is great for literally, any style of music. The on-board effects sound great too, plus they're laid out in a way that's easy to understand and easy to manipulate to get the sound you're after.
The Blackstar ID:60 is suitable for rehearsals and small gigs. You've got 60 watts of great tone that sounds just as good loud as it does when it's turned down. Weighing in at around 18kg, the ID:60 is also not as heavy as some other gigging amps. The amp's USB connectivity means that it works great as a home recording amp too.
A lot of people argue that there's no substitute for valve amps, and there may well be some truth in that however, the Blackstar ID:60 certainly comes close. Its sound is very close to that of an all valve amp and it packs some fantastic features that mean you can tailor the sound specifically to your liking, and even save them for quick recall.

True Valve Power
LOUD as valve™
Blackstar's patent-applied-for True Valve Power offers six distinctly different power valve responses - EL84, 6V6, EL34, KT66, 6L6, KT88.
EL84 - 'Bell like full bodied Class A with lots of compression'
6V6 - 'Crisp Class A with high compression and tight mids'
EL34 - 'Classic British Class A/B crunch with full bodied soft break up'
KT66 - 'Rich and warm vintage British hot biased Class A/B'
6L6 - 'Tight dynamic Class A/B with extended highs and lows'
KT88 - 'Tight, bold and dynamic Class A/B with strong low end'
When engaged it delivers the response, dynamics, sag and break-up characteristics of a valve amp and uniquely delivers the same acoustic power output as an equivalent valve power amp. This means that for the first time ever, in an affordable series of amplifiers, these products deliver live without compromise - True Valve Power means LOUD as valve™.
