What Reidys say...
"The Death By Audio Interstellar overdriver is the real deal. This sexy two knob wonder gave me bags what I already had in the signal chain but more of it. If you don't like what you've already got, this is not going to change that for you - BUT if you love your amp and pedal combination but just want it to sound like it's on fire in packed club gig, then you've looked as far as you need to.
It's capable of a whole lot more than just cooking your amp. 12 o'clock on the overdriver served up some succulent Cream-era Clapton sounds tones, the mid range giving you that vowel-like vocal quality. The very top of the dial gives you that great 70's live album, poweramp section distortion; fuzzy and waiting to provide you with beautiful harmonic feedback at a moments notice.
It's such a versatile pedal with just the two controls - I didn't expect it to furnish me with so much sonic joy. The thing looks incredible too with its metalic silver paint and its giant 'shut up and play your guitar'controls. Truly built to last with Death By Audio's "If you can break it, we'll fix it" guarantee, it's no wonder they can be seen on so many boards around the world. "

SOUNDS LIKE A CRANKED 50s TUBE AMP
The Interstellar Overdriver is a true overdrive pedal, designed to blast your amp with your sound. Beautifully transparent and based around a discrete circuit, this pedal is all about the natural, wonderful sound of turning an amp up too loud. It's specifically constructed to work the same way as old tube amps - the more you turn it up, the better it sounds. The drive knob sweeps from a slight boost to a beautiful, harmonically rich overdrive. For more control, kick back the output volume with the MASTER knob while retaining the sweetness. There are a lot of pedals out there attempting to do this simple, beautiful thing, but this one is the best.
Master: Output volume of the effect.
Overdriver: Sets the amount of gain, from a sweet boost to a nasty crunch
