To say you spent all your cash on a casino is usually a statement filled with regret. However, if spend your cash on an Epiphone Casino, you'll truly feel like you've hit the jackpot! Epiphone's classic hollow body is firmly engrained in British music history thanks to its association with songwriting giants like John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Noel Gallagher and Paul Weller. There's something utterly magical about a hollow body that powerfully resonates throughout your entire body when you strum a huge open chord on it; the Casino does just that.
Surprisingly versatile, the Casino comes loaded with a screaming set of Epiphone P90 pickups that will soften up to give smooth, warm, mellow clarity and then move all the way to out and out fuzzy rage. Just look at Gary Clark Jr. and how he wrestles his Casino if you want to see just how raw this thing can get. P90s are a great evolution of a single coil pickup, not necessarily as sparkly and bright as those you'd find in a Telecaster but also not as muddy as some humbuckers can get. The P90 is a tremendously underrated pickup and, as you'll see in the Casino, is utterly stunning with its character.
As always, Epiphone have been extra generous with the spec on the Casino. Along with the P90s, you are treated to LockTone hardware and vintage small button tuners which perfectly blend vintage authenticity with modern stability. Epiphone's SlimTaper D profile neck is such an enjoyable neck to play. Without feeling cramped, it is small enough to be manageable when you're tackling some tricky jazz chord shapes, but fills the palm adequately with a sturdy feel and lively resonance. I implore you to try a Casino for yourself, you'll love it. Visit us instore and take one for a spin!
