What Reidys say...
"The new Performer Series gives you American made Fender quality at a great price point. One thing I absolutely love about these are the new finish options, such as the satin surf green and satin sonic blue: they bring a modern take to the classic Fender custom colours of the 50s and 60s. As expected, the build quality of this series is stunning; they feel solid and reliable - perfect for a gigging musician. Add to this the silky smooth satin necks, sturdy hardware and Yosemite pickups and you have a blend of the finest ingredients for an instrument that is versatile enough for any style of player - you won't be disappointed!
It's a Strat. Well... Yes. There's more to this story though. The performer series Strat is the one you go for if you're looking for a modern take on the classic design. It's something that will handle anything you throw at it (musically that is - unless you have a particularly rowdy crowd.) The new Yosemite pickups are clear and articulate, add to this the new intuitive pickup selection options and you have a guitar that is ideal for anybody looking to cover loads of sonic territory for a range of genres. The super smooth satin finished neck is a dream to play - no heavily applied, sticky lacquer here - and the body, as expected, is comfortable and unintrusive. This really is the perfect go-to guitar for a gigging musician: well made, reliable, versatile and an absolute steal price for an American made Fender!"

New ClassicGear Tuning Machines
Combining vintage style with a modern 18:1 gear ratio, the ClassicGear tuning machines have smooth action and make it easier to fine-tune your instrument.
Jumbo frets make it easier to achieve wide, expressive bends that add your personal touch to your music.
The push-pull pot activates the neck pickup, letting you access neck/bridge and “all on” combinations with a simple finger flick.
Featuring a “Modern C”-shaped profile that works well with almost any playing style, the neck also hosts a satin finish on the back, giving it a smooth, fast playing feel.
Greasebucket Tone System
This uniquely Fender tone system lets you cut treble without losing gain or “muddying” your sound, preserving your carefully shaped tone.
