What Reidys say...
"Fender Master Built guitars take the Custom Shop legacy one step further. Each guitar is hand built, start to finish, by just one person. Every luthier in the Master Built section of the Fender Custom Shop has their own unique style and approach to making guitars, meaning that you get a truly one-off piece.
This particular model is Greg Fessler's take on a 63 Strat, in a wonderfully aged Black Sparkle finish. Greg is one of only 11 Master Builders and has made guitars personally for the likes of John Mayer, Joe Bonamassa, Hank Marvin, Jeff Healey and now, you! It's got three different pickups on-board - these have been hand picked for a unique and distinctive sound. These pickups are hand wound and give you a wonderfully balanced and dynamic tone - get everything from chime and sparkle to spank and SRV-esque bite.
The finish on this model really is spectacular. It's been aged by hand (all done by Fessler) making it completely unique - he may well have made other 60s Strats but no other will be exactly like this. When we first got the Fender Custom Shop guitars, I was really impressed with the build quality and attention to detail - the Masterbuilts take it a step further. As you would expect with a guitar of this caliber, it comes shipped with a hard case and certificate of authenticity."
