What Reidys say...
"Double cutaway mahogany body, single dog-ear P90 pickup, one volume, one tone - it doesn't get much simpler than this! Juniors were made as student models in the 50s and 60s, but they've since been adopted by punks, rock and rollers, blues guys, and seemingly every other style of player since then. Gibson did a limited run of SG Juniors last year, which went really well so it's no surprise that they're putting another one into regular production. The SG is just legendary as the Les Paul - you've seen it in the hands of a great many players - now you can get this back-to-basics one in yours!"
Richard Blenkinsop, Guitar Expert
The SG Junior returns to the classic design that made it relevant, played and loved -- shaping sound across generations and genres of music. Initially introduced in the early 60's as a student model, the SG Junior has been embraced by musicians for almost 60 years. The rich, Vintage Cherry lacquer finish, early 60's neck joint and sharp vintage body scarfing are hallmarks of this model. It’s equipped with the powerful single dogear P-90 pickup with handwired controls and an orange drop capacitor. The Vintage Deluxe style tuners with white buttons and compensated wraparound bridge also contribute to simplicity, function and rock-solid tone.
