"The PRS Custom 24 is the flagship Paul Reed Smith guitar. It was these guitars that he took to NAMM in 1985, which helped get the brands' name out there. This particular Custom 24 is fitted with the incredible 85/15 pickups. These are modern versions of those original pickups seen in 1985, so everything that helped grab players' attention back then is still there, along with all the improvements PRS have made along the way. The 85/15s in this PRS Custom 24 are crystal clear, dynamic and versatile; as shown by the huge range of players that play this guitar. They've also been voiced so that there's a bit of a scoop in the lower mids, as well as a boost in the highs and lows - basically how you would normally EQ an electric guitar after recording. Brass contact points i.e. the tuning post and the saddle mean that string resonance is optimised - the more the strings ring out, the more tone and sustain you get.
The PRS Custom 24 sports the same beautiful aesthetic as it always has - this one is in a stunning Faded Whale Blue colour (the flame on the top is also particularly striking), plus it's got an ebony fingerboard where it would normally be rosewood. The Custom 24 has now been in production for over 30 years and has become somewhat of a classic guitar in its own right. Playability and build quality are second to none, as has become the norm for PRS and, as you expect with a guitar at this price point, you get a hard case included. This is a really nice guitar - to play, to look at and to listen to - a modern classic!"

PRS Custom 24 - Limited Edition Faded Whale Blue
The Custom 24 is the quintessential PRS guitar. This iconic instrument was the first model that Paul Reed Smith brought to the public at PRS Guitars' first Winter NAMM show in 1985 and has been a top seller ever since. Played by internationally touring artists, gigging musicians, and aspiring players, the Custom 24 features PRS's patented Gen III tremolo system and PRS 85/15 pickups with volume and tone controls and a 5-way blade switch. 85/15 pickups were personally designed by Paul Reed Smith to offer remarkable clarity and extended high and low end.
The Custom 24 is the original PRS. Since its introduction, it has offered a unique tonal option for serious players and defined PRS tone and playability.
