What Reidys say...
"The Fender 'alternatives' - the Mustang, Jaguar and Jazzmaster have become increasingly popular over the last decade or so. This Squier Affinity Jazzmaster is a great way of getting that cool look and great alt-rock sound at a really good price. Players such as Johnny Marr (The Smiths), Elvis Costello, Alex Turner (Arctic Monkeys), Jim Root (Slipknot), J. Mascis (Dinosaur Jr), Mike Einziger (Incubus) and many more have played the Jazzmaster over the years - as you can see, there's a wide range of artists there, showing the guitar's versatility. The two humbuckers give you a nice, thick sound - more powerful than the single coils in a Strat or Tele. I find it to be a great guitar for rock, blues, alt-rock, indie and jazz, though to be fair, it's pretty much good for anything! A really good modern, entry level guitar with a nice retro feel to it."
