Fender are a pop culture icon. If it weren’t for them, a lot of the music from the last 70 years or so would probably sound very different. The Fender Stratocaster and Telecaster are two of the most well-known guitars ever to be built, with a whole range of famous players using these guitars - Stevie Ray Vaughan, Prince, Jimi Hendrix, Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton, John Mayer, Hank Marvin, Jim Root and John Frusciante, to name just a few.
Fender guitars and basses are usually made in America, Mexico or Japan. The made-in-Mexico Player series is Fender’s entry-level range, giving players all the sounds and features you’d associate with a Fender guitar or bass, at an affordable price. The Fender Player Strat and Player Tele are two of our most popular guitars. For those that want something a little different, the Jazzmaster and Jaguar are strong choices. Bassists are covered too with the Jazz Bass and Precision Bass.
The American Pro series is Fender’s flagship range - here you’ll find the classic models, built as they were 60+ years ago, to an incredible standard, fitted with great-sounding pickups; if you want an American-built Fender but you’re not sure where to look, this is the place to start. For players that want more contemporary features, such as slimmer neck profiles and a wider range of tones, check out the American Ultras and the American Performers. If you want a guitar that looks, feels and sounds like a vintage Fender, but don’t want to pay ‘vintage Fender’ kind of money, then the American Original, or Mexican Vintera series could be for you.
Fender also have a Custom Shop in their factory in California. Here, they build truly astounding instruments - they really are the creme de la creme of Fender guitars and basses. Whether you want a truly period-accurate 1963 Strat, or you want something completely modern, there will be a Custom Shop out there for you!
